Blog Contributor Guidelines and Protocols

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Nomad Stays blog! We appreciate your willingness to share your insights and knowledge with our audience. To ensure a consistent and high-quality experience for our readers, we have established the following guidelines and protocols for all blog contributors. Please read through this document carefully before submitting your article.

1. Content Guidelines:
   a. Originality: All submissions must be original content that has not been published elsewhere.
   b. Relevance: Articles should be relevant to the focus of our blog and appeal to our target audience.
   c. Quality: We strive for well-written, informative, and engaging articles that provide value to our readers.
   d. Length: Articles should typically be between 800 and 1,500 words, but this can vary depending on the topic.
   e. Formatting: Please submit articles in a Microsoft Word document or a Google Docs format. Use subheadings, bullet points, and numbered lists where appropriate to enhance readability.

2. Topic Selection:

a. Before starting to write, please send us a brief outline or pitch for your proposed article. This will help us ensure the topic aligns with our content strategy and hasn't been covered extensively.
   b. We encourage a diverse range of topics related to our blog's focus. However, we reserve the right to suggest changes or propose alternative topics if needed.

3. Writing Style:
   a. Tone: Maintain a friendly, conversational tone that resonates with our readers. Avoid overly technical jargon whenever possible.
   b. Grammar and Spelling: Ensure your writing is grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. Proofread your work before submission.
   c. Citations and References: If you include statistics, quotes, or information from external sources, provide proper citations or references to maintain credibility and avoid plagiarism.

TIP **Imagine you are writing for Lonely Planet magazine, Think, Off The Beaten Track, Adventure, travel experience lifestyle travellers, inside tips and Useful current information for adventure seekers.

Blog should include one or more of these subheadings and the following topics:

  • Transport,
  • Nomad Stays Trusted Stay Partner (NB: No other links to accommodation platforms are permitted)
  • Visas
  • Events
  • Cultural aspects
  • Community
  • Lifestyles for digital nomad hints
  • Finances e.g. living costs, taxes, currencies
  • Coworking
  • Software Tools for digital nomads.

4. Editorial Process:
   a. Once you submit your article, to maretingsupport@nomadstays.com our editorial team will review it for adherence to guidelines and overall quality. We reserve the right to make necessary edits for clarity, style, and formatting.
   b. If significant changes are required, we may request your approval before publishing the final version.
   c. We may also include relevant internal or external links within your article, if deemed appropriate.

5. Author Bio and Promotion:
   a. Include a short author bio (approximately 2-3 sentences) at the end of your article. You may include a link to your personal website, blog, or social media profiles.
   b. We appreciate it if you share the published article on your own social media channels or website, but it is not mandatory.

6. Backlinks: Backlinks to commercial sites are not generally accepted.  As above, Backlinks to the author's personal profiles and sites is permitted.  Commercial businesses should consider purchasing Advertising subscriptions from Nomad Stays.

7. Legal Considerations:
   a. By submitting an article to us, you acknowledge that you are the original author and grant us the right to edit, publish, and promote the content.
   b. Plagiarism or copyright infringement will not be tolerated. Ensure all content is properly cited and does not violate any existing copyrights.
.  c. ChatGPT, Bard and other AI generated articles will be accepted where the AI content has minor impact on the article, and the use of AI is publicly acknowledged in the article.

 

8. Submission Process:
   a. Please email your article to [email protected] with the subject line: "Blog Contribution Submission: [Your Article Title]."
   b. Include your name, contact information, and a brief author bio in the email.

Please note that meeting these guidelines does not guarantee publication. We will notify you if your article has been accepted for publication, and we reserve the right to reject submissions that do not meet our standards or align with our blog's objectives.
